Civil Procedure Code 1907.

At the beginning of the year 1909 Ir. Justice Fisher and Mr. Justice Braddell were both at Singapore attend-

-ing the full Court of Appeal thore. They returned on 7th. January 1909 and with the exception of the 8 days from 22nd. February to 1st. March when the full Court of Appeal sat at Penang, both Courts were sitting till 18th. March when r Justice Fisher went on leave.

Mr. Justice Braddell presided over the 2nd. Divisional Court at Penang from 7th. January 1909 till 18th. March and over the 1st. Court from 18th. to 25th. March, 1909, and again ofer the 2nd. Court from 25th. March till 17th. June 1909 when he left for the Singapore Court of Appeal, where he unfortunately become indisposed, and soon after the sitting

of the Court of Appeal went on leave.

r. Justice Thornton, Senior Puisne Judge, returned from leave on 25th. March 1909 and presided over the 1st Divisional Court till the end of the year with the except- -ion of the periods when he was sitting at the full Court of Appeal at Penang and Singapore from 16th, Aurust to 8th. September and 2nd. to 20th, December 1909 respectively.

On 17th. November 1909 Mr. Justice Woodward arrived from the Federated Malay States and presided over the 2nd. Divisional Court from 18th. November till 2nd. December 1909 when he left for the Singapore Court of Appeal. He returned on 20th. Deember and continued to preside over the 2nd. Divisional Court from 20th. Dcember till the end of the

year.
